Tenant Resource Counselor

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a compassionate and organized Tenant Resource Counselor to support residents in maintaining housing and achieving self-sufficiency. As part of our Supportive Housing Services team, you will provide direct case management, connect clients to community resources, and help ensure a safe and supportive housing environment in coordination with building management.

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct initial interviews and assessments for new housing applicants and residents
- Assist residents in developing individualized service plans based on identified needs
- Monitor and document client progress and adjust plans in collaboration with the treatment team
- Provide support counseling, resource navigation, and life skills coaching
- Coordinate group programming and tenant association/committee meetings
- Conduct apartment inspections as needed and maintain strong communication with building management
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation per agency and funder standards
- Collaborate with Housing Specialists during client transitions and lease renewals
- Participate in internal and external case conferences and trainings
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, or at least 2 years of practical human services experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal skills and client-centered approach
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards
- Bilingual fluency is a plus
