Quality Assurance Coordinator (CV1786-1) - Reentry Services Division


Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our highly dynamic and growing team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator shall report to the Quality Assurance Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of quality assurance efforts in the Developmental Disabilities programs. They will manage the licensing/accreditation process and will be responsible for working on annual provider qualification process, meeting all provider expectations as required by the Administrative Entity and/or the Office of Developmental Programs and Mental Health. This position will serve as the HIPPA compliance manager for the Division.

SCOPE OF DUTIES:

  • Interact with all clients, staff, and outside contacts members with respect and courtesy.
  • Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and training sessions.
  • Assess and identify training needs. Implement and facilitate appropriate sessions.
  • Oversee all HIPPA related procedures ensuring the programs remain updated on privacy developments and “best practices” for Client privacy.
  • Assist Director in the implementation of evidenced based interventions for the service populations.
  • Provide technical assistant to program management in their efforts to learn and adhere to funding source requirements.
  • Full working knowledge of the licensing and accreditation standards and requirement for the IDS programs.
  • Ensure all program sites is properly registered on HCSIS and that PROMISE applications are completed.
  • Serve as HCSIS alternate administrator. Provide technical assistance to program management in their efforts to learn and adhere to agency policies and procedures as well as HCSIS web based reporting regulatory and funding source requirements.
  • Conduct monthly site inspections to ensure that we are in compliance.
  • Ensure fire safety compliance at each site.
  • Ensure that all sites are conducting emergency drills (fire, hurricane, tornado, etc.) and the drills are being documented on a quarterly basis.
  • Develop and implement standards and procedures for the use of all vehicles. Coordinate and enforce preventative maintenance for all vehicles.
  • Coordinate utility services for all sites including installation and resolution of all utility related problems as they arise.
  • Coordinate leasing process for all sites.
  • Obtain Certificates of Occupancy for new programs and fire safety inspections.
  • Serve as IDS programs representative on the agency Health and Safety to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Monitor local, state and federal legislation and regulations and recommendations on issues that have potential impact on the program and clients.
  • Identify and report all quality assurance trends emanating from Support Coordination and IM4Q monitoring.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional affiliations.
  • Maintain 24 hours of annual training as it relates to human services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to climb stairs and walk perimeter of facility.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds at least.
  • Ability to see 20 ft.

CREDENTIALS/ABILITIES:

  • Must have a BA degree in social services or High School diploma or equivalent with three years work-relevant human services experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience with diverse client groups including individuals with Developmental Disabilities and mental illness and service approaches preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and group facilitation skills.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with sound judgment with research skills and strategic planning experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and able to meet Volunteers of America standards.
